A good story is the lifeblood of a production...
Neketa Forde is a Guyanese Visual Storyteller whose work includes photography, videography, graphic and motion design. Neketa earned a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Communication Media Arts from Ohio University. While a graduate student at Ohio University, she taught a wide array of courses which include Visual Storytelling, Media and the Creative Process, Basic Publication Design and 2D Animation.

Neketa has also spent the few years working closely with the Ohio University Infectious and Tropical Disease Institute (ITDI) to create social change multimedia products that sheds light on the silent killer, Chagas Disease. Travelling back and forward from the USA to Ecuador, Neketa has gained a greater appreciation for community developmental work.

In addition, Neketa has spent the past three years telling migration stories which culminated in the creation of a 2D animated docufiction series, Tings Brown, which highlights snippets of social inequalities that drive citizens from developing countries such as Guyana into emigrating. Storytelling is one of the most powerful tools for effecting positive social change and Neketa believes that with animation, volatile topics as such social inequality and discrimination could be, approached gently and in a simplified manner.

Neketa is an avid Traveller, Documentarian and Educator.
